YWAM Indochina Hosts First Regional Staff Conference
YWAM Indochina has hosted their first regional staff gathering! We were excited to have all the nations within Indochina represented: Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia as well as guests from the USA! Even though many had challenges to get here we were able to come together and gather as one for His purpose and Glory.
Participants shared about what is happing in Indochina and gained a better understanding of new things that we need to work together to achieve. The Philippines leader exhorted us that are no boundaries, no borders - we have all been called in Christ with the same purpose and goal, which is to serve Him together for His glory.
Stephen Goode shared briefly in the opening night about the challenges faced today in Indochina, challenging us to have the same sense of urgency that Christ has for this region. He reminded us that we have gathered together to tackle global issues such as human trafficking and disaster relief, as well as community development, mercy ministries and in our schools such as DTS and SOFM. With 212 omega zones, Indochina needs many more workers.
For two days NOT FOR SALE joined our conference to share on ''Creative Solutions for Ending Slavery” and CNN came to record where they have been also working in mobilizing and bringing awareness to the tragedy of human trafficking. Visit the “Freedom Project” at www.cnn.com for more information!
We focused one day as God directed us to pray for the nation of Laos where we have only 13 workers. We believe that God is moving and that this is a special time for Laos.
Further messages during this event encouraged us to not allow the dreams and visions that God has given us to be taken away, because if that happens, it will take out part of the life we have in order to serve Him better. We were taught, “We can never lose the ability to imagine what God can do through us in what we are called to do. It’s vital to be able to capture God’s imagination in order to serve, to have a prophetic imagination so we can imagine life through God Himself where there is no life.”
It is a privilege to serve in the region of Indochina. For more information on work in this region please contact : www.fmindochina.com
